Good day,

I missed fellowshipping with everyone this past Sunday, but Dave, Russ and others absolutely made the right call cancelling our Sunday service.  I hope that everyone was able to stay warm and safe during the storm.  As I was up fairly early on Sunday morning, because sleeping in does not seem like a possibility at this stage of my life, I was able to enjoy the beauty of the snowstorm.  A bright white landscape laid before me with no tracks of any kind and each branch, bush and garden plot covered with inches of beautiful snow, like a Thomas Kinkade painting.  It was so peaceful and quiet, with my kids and dogs still sleeping and no cars going by our house.  I was able to enjoy a bit of time just sitting and watching the snow come down and praying.

The snow covering the ground reminded me of how Jesus has covered my sins.  Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross is the reason that I can have fellowship with the Father.  When God looks at me, he sees the purity, holiness and righteousness of his Son, Jesus covering me. He sees the beautiful white snow and does not see the dead leaves and dirt that lie underneath. My communion with the Father only happens through the Son because I have accepted Him as Lord and Savior.

As John 14:6 says, “I am the way the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”  The enormous sacrifice that Jesus made, so that each one of us could have a relationship with the triad God and eternal life with Him brings joy and gladness to my being.

Each day we can pray, read our Bible, and have communion with the Father.  Each day we can praise Him, thank Him, pray to Him and talk with Him and each day He will listen to all that we bring to Him. The creator of all we see wants to spend time with each of us.  That is amazing!  Part of Romans 8:31 says “…If God is for us, who can be against us?”  God has us in the palm of His hand.  Whatever you are dealing with today, bring it to your heavenly Father and feel the Father take the burden from you!  He loves you that much!

I pray for each of us that we keep our eyes on Christ and let nothing from this world move us from the path that God has put before us.

In Him,

Dennet
